NATURAL DEODORANTS

With all the hot weather recently we thought it was a good idea to take a look at some of the natural deodorants we have in store. If you’re new to the world of natural deodorants, don’t sweat, we’re here to help!

WHAT ARE NATURAL DEODORANTS?

Natural deodorants help you beat the heat by using effective, naturally-derived ingredients. Natural deodorants don’t use pore-blocking ingredients like aluminium chlorohydrate and aluminium zirconium that are found in most antiperspirants. Instead, natural deodorants allow your body to breathe and continue to produce good bacteria, which can actually lead to less odour even when you're not wearing any deodorant!

WHY ANTIPERSPIRANTS ARE BAD...

Antiperspirants and chemical-laden deodorants clog up pores and don’t allow the body to properly release the sweat necessary to cool down and release toxins. This blocking of pores also means sweat builds up beneath the skin, causing bumpy skin and painful irritation.

Antiperspirants are also completely unnecessary for preventing body odour. Sweat isn’t actually what smells; it’s just a mixture of salt and water. Body odour occurs when sweat comes into contact with the natural bacteria that live on our skin. Antiperspirants try to stop you from sweating whereas natural deodorants change the way the natural bacteria react to your sweat which stops it from making bad smells. Some antiperspirants can actually cause a worse odour because the aluminium compounds can cause an acidic reaction – that’s also why you get those yellow stains on your clothes.

THE SOLUTION

Legra deodorant is formulated from all natural, non irritating ingredients. As well as being aluminium free, they don’t use baking soda or bicarbonate of soda in their formula as these can be abrasive and often cause reactions. Every ingredient in their formula has a purpose in keeping you dry and odour free.
