Bailey Meredith and Greta van der Star created GENERAL SLEEP on a cold night in front of the fire, dreaming of the perfect PJ’s.

Their collection is made from sustainably sourced cotton and linen, woven on handlooms in India, producing a collection of sleepwear that has been beautifully considered to soften with time. Focusing on quality and versatility, each piece works equally well for sleeping and lounging in as it does for running errands.

GENERAL SLEEP is a label committed to working with sustainably sourced fabrics from renewable resources and using a Fairtrade and ethical supply chain. They are dedicated to preserving the craft of hand-loomed fabrics in India by supporting a community of artisan weavers with a living wage and consistent work. All fabrics are loomed by hand using centuries old techniques. Furthermore, they work with suppliers who are committed to environmental practices and who primarily use solar power and rain harvesting.
