WHY WE LOVE: a modern take on traditional glassmaking techniques that brings joy to any table setting
Macchia su Macchia : Layers on layers
This set of tumblers takes a traditional glassblowing technique, Macchia, whereby glass is applied in a single phase and coated with a crystal layer. Instead, it has been modernised: deconstructed and reassembled through repeated multiple applications of colourful pigments and flakes.
Creating gorgeous, eye-catching glassware that is opaque with the layers of coloured glass bringing to life a soft and dense texture.
This item is mouth blown and hand finished and took one maestro and three assistants to complete.
Sold as a set of 2.
